Social Pulse: one screenfor organic performance
01 — Summary
A self-built analytics platform integrating X, LinkedIn and Reddit: live growth and engagement signals, competitor benchmarking, and a plain-language interface for asking the data questions.

02 — The problem
Every platform reports its own numbers in its own dashboard, on its own definitions. Nobody sees the whole picture at once, comparisons against competitors live in someone's head, and decisions about organic strategy default to gut feel.
03 — What I did
- Built a database that pulls the company's social accounts across X, LinkedIn and Reddit into one place.
- Computed signals from the live data instead of static exports: week-over-week growth, engagement per post against peer medians, twelve-month audience trajectories.
- Added competitor benchmarking across tracked identity-security pages, so performance reads in context rather than in isolation.
- Selectable reporting windows from a week to a year, plus an embedded assistant for asking questions about the data in plain language.
04 — What changed
- One shared, live view of organic performance across platforms, replacing per-platform dashboard archaeology.
- The measurement layer behind the organic growth work elsewhere on this site: the engagement engine decides where to show up, Social Pulse shows whether it is working.
What I took from it
You cannot improve what you measure in three different tabs. Putting growth, engagement and competitors on one screen changed the conversation from how many followers we have to what is actually working.
